Founded in 2007 by three young Congolese refugees, the Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID) is a registered NGO located in Kampala, Uganda. This organization aims to support refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals displaced by conflict. Each year, YARID assists over 4,000 people, primarily from the Great Lakes region of Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi, as well as from other East African countries such as Ethiopia and South Sudan. Visitors can witness the impactful work and community initiatives that YARID undertakes to provide essential services and foster integration.
