Nestled in the lush highlands of southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a sanctuary for critically endangered mountain gorillas, hosting half of the world’s population. This protected forest reserve, with its dense and verdant canopy, is a haven for biodiversity, boasting 120 mammal species, several hundred bird species, and over 150 types of trees. Visitors can trek through the thick undergrowth, tracking gorilla families and immersing themselves in the rich, vibrant ecosystem that thrives within this ancient forest.
