Mt. Phousi, also known as Phu Si or Phou Si, stands at the center of Luang Prabang, towering approximately 330 feet (100 meters) above the city. The hill’s slopes are dotted with several temples and shrines, culminating in the That Chomsi stupa at the peak. Visitors can climb to the top to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the meandering Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. On a clear day, the vistas extend to the distant, verdant mountains, offering a serene and expansive perspective of the region.
