Hart Plaza

Set along the Detroit Riverwalk in the heart of the city’s downtown, Hart Plaza stands as one of Detroit’s most vibrant open-air cultural hubs. Designed by artist Isamu Noguchi in the 1970s, the plaza features the futuristic Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain, known locally as Dodge Fountain. The space includes two open-air amphitheaters and a wide square, which host festivals and performances that attract thousands of attendees each summer. Visitors can enjoy the dynamic atmosphere, watch live events, and take in the plaza’s unique design.
