Tribune Tower

The Tribune Tower, a neo-Gothic landmark in Chicago, was built following the 1922 International Design Competition. Standing at 36 stories tall, the tower once housed the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Before its construction, the paper’s reporters collected fragments from renowned landmarks worldwide, such as the Taj Mahal, the Hagia Sophia, and the Great Wall of China. These pieces of rock are now embedded in the outer first-floor wall, creating a unique and enduring legacy.
