Port of Skagway

Port of Skagway

A century ago, Skagway served as the gateway to the Klondike gold fields, and today, the Skagway Cruise Port remains one of Alaska’s most frequented destinations. Nestled along the coast, it serves as a departure point for expeditions into the vast Yukon. The port retains much of its Gold Rush charm, with an historic downtown featuring false front buildings and wooden sidewalks. Visitors can stroll through this well-preserved slice of history, immersing themselves in the sights and textures of a bygone era.
