Court Square, a National Historic Place in downtown Memphis, is a 2-acre urban plaza and the only one of the city’s four original parks that remains unchanged. Planned in 1819, the park features the Hebe Fountain, donated in 1876 as its centerpiece. Today, visitors can enjoy the shady gazebo and benches, which continue to serve as a popular gathering spot for locals. The square offers a tranquil space for relaxation and a glimpse into the city’s historical layout.
