Overlooking the mouth of Dubai Creek, the Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House, built in 1896, served as the residence for Dubai’s rulers during the early 20th century and now functions as a museum. The structure features traditional wind towers, known as barjeel, which rise above courtyards and rooms. Inside, visitors can explore exhibitions that trace the history of Dubai and its ruling al-Maktoum clan from the late 1800s to the 1960s. The house offers a glimpse into the city’s past through detailed displays and architectural elements.
