Dominating Izmir’s busy Konak Square, the Izmir Clock Tower (İzmir Saat Kulesi) has stood as a city landmark since 1901. Rising to a height of 82 feet (25 meters), the tower features a lacy, ornate design and Arabesque arches that evoke the Ottoman era. Each corner of the tower is adorned with a fountain, adding to its elegance. The four-faced clock, a gift from German Emperor Wilhelm II to the sultan, still keeps time. Today, visitors can admire the intricate architecture and the historical significance of this iconic structure.
