Third Tunnel of Aggression

The Third Tunnel of Aggression, located more than 229 feet (70 meters) beneath the surface, is one of four known tunnels in the DMZ between North Korea and South Korea. Believed to have been constructed by North Korea for a potential attack on South Korea, the tunnel was initially claimed by the North as a coal mine when discovered. Today, visitors can walk through this subterranean passage, experiencing the tense history and strategic significance of this Cold War relic.
