Rorke’s Drift Museum

Rorke’s Drift, a site immortalized in the 1964 film Zulu, stands as a testament to one of the most remarkable defenses in British military history. In 1879, 150 British soldiers, many of whom were sick or wounded, successfully fended off an attack by approximately 4,000 Zulu warriors, just after the Zulus had triumphed at Isandlwana. Today, visitors can explore a museum and orientation center that provides context and insight into this historic battle.
