Lake Beratan (Danau Bratan)

Nestled within the crater of the long-dormant Bratan volcano, Lake Beratan (Danau Bratan) spans approximately 1.5 square miles (4 square kilometers) in the highlands of Indonesia. The lake’s most prominent feature is the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple, which appears to float on the water’s surface. Visitors can also explore World War II–era caves and enjoy boat rides across the serene lake, surrounded by lush, verdant landscapes.
