Nestled near Coban, Orquigonia is an 82-acre (33-hectare) sanctuary where orchids bloom in a vibrant array of colors. This forested landscape hosts nearly 700 varieties of orchids and over 160 species of birds, which visitors can observe through binoculars on guided walks with naturalists. At the heart of the preserve, a treetop observation tower provides panoramic views of the surrounding Sierra de Chama mountain range, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area.
