Tbilisi Funicular

The Tbilisi Funicular, one of the world’s steepest, has been a landmark in Georgia’s capital since its construction in 1905. After undergoing renovations, it reopened in 2012, continuing to connect the city with the Mtatsminda Plateau. The funicular ascends to the mountaintop, where visitors can explore Mtatsminda Park, featuring a restaurant complex, an amusement park, and a TV tower. This historic mode of transport offers not only a convenient way to reach the plateau but also a scenic journey, providing panoramic views of Tbilisi.
