Medvedgrad Castle

Perched on the southern slopes of Mount Medvednica and overlooking the suburbs of Zagreb, Medvedgrad Castle stands as one of Croatia’s most significant medieval fortresses. Constructed in the 13th century, the castle fell into disrepair and was left to decay until a restoration effort in the 1980s brought it back to life. Today, visitors can explore the historic site and enjoy the surrounding Medvednica Nature Park, which offers a blend of natural beauty and rich history.
