Morne Coubaril Estate

Nestled in the heart of St. Lucia, the 18th-century Morne Coubaril Estate offers a glimpse into the island’s rich agricultural history. The estate features a restored original plantation house and a replica of the workers’ village, illustrating the production of cotton, sugarcane, cocoa, and coffee. Today, visitors can explore the grounds where coconuts and manioc (cassava) are still cultivated using traditional methods, and these crops are used to create various local products. Walking through the estate, one can almost hear the echoes of the past, as the textures and colors of the historic buildings and lush greenery bring the plantation’s history to life.
