Kaituna River

Nestled in Rotorua, New Zealand, the Kaituna River is a 28-mile (45-kilometer) stretch of water that has become a mecca for white-water enthusiasts. The river’s most notable feature is Tutea Falls, a 21-foot (7-meter) waterfall and the world’s tallest commercially rafted waterfall, classified as a Class V rapid. While Tutea Falls offers an exhilarating challenge, the majority of the river provides a mix of Class III and IV rapids, making it a dynamic and accessible destination for both experienced rafters and those seeking a thrilling adventure.
