Angel of Independence (El Ángel)

Topped with a gilded Winged Victory, the Angel of Independence (El Ángel) stands as one of Mexico City’s most recognizable monuments, built to commemorate the centennial of the War of Independence. Located in the heart of the city, this towering structure reaches a height of 150 feet (46 meters). Visitors can admire the monument from a distance, explore the mausoleum, or obtain a special permit to climb to the viewpoint, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding urban landscape.
