Hierve el Agua, which translates to ‘Water Boils,’ is one of only two known petrified waterfalls in the world. Located in Mexico, this unique rock formation features clifftop pools that seem to cascade down the cliffside. The site offers visitors the opportunity to relax in two artificial swimming pools, surrounded by the natural beauty of the mineral-rich formations. After a refreshing dip, visitors can hike down to the base of the waterfalls, where they can observe the intricate layers and textures of the petrified cascades up close.
