The Porta Nuova neighborhood in Milan takes its name from the elegant Neoclassical city gate, constructed in 1810 by architect Giuseppe Zanoia. Unlike the city’s ancient Roman gates, this ‘new gate’ is a more recent addition, standing as a striking architectural feature in the heart of the business district.
