Au Lapin Agile

Nestled in the heart of Montmartre, Au Lapin Agile has been a Parisian institution since 1860. This two-story cottage, with its rustic charm, stands as a symbol of the bohemian spirit that once thrived in the district. Over the years, it attracted a vibrant community of artists, including Modigliani, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Utrillo, who found inspiration within its walls. Picasso, a frequent visitor, captured the essence of the cabaret in his 1905 painting, ‘At the Lapin Agile,’ now housed at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today, visitors can still experience the lively atmosphere and rich history that have made this cabaret a beloved landmark.
