The Ghetto Museum (Muzeum Ghetta), part of the Terezín Memorial, is located in the late-18th century garrison town of Terezín, known as Theresienstadt in German. During World War II, the Nazis transformed this town into a work camp and ghetto, serving as a transit point for Jews en route to Auschwitz. Today, the museum stands as a somber reminder of this dark chapter, offering visitors a chance to learn about the history and the estimated 30,000 lives lost here. Exhibits and displays provide a detailed and poignant account of the experiences of those who were imprisoned in the ghetto.
