Zhongshan Bridge (Yellow River Iron Bridge)

Until 1909, the Yellow River in Lanzhou was crossed using a precarious system of rafts. The Zhongshan Bridge, also known as the Yellow River Iron Bridge, changed this with its construction, facilitated by a German businessman and built with imported materials. Spanning the river, the bridge offers an impressive backdrop for photos, its sturdy iron structure standing in stark contrast to the flowing water. Today, visitors can walk across the bridge, enjoying views of the river and the city, making it a notable stop during a visit to Lanzhou.
