Located in northern Chengdu, Wenshu Monastery, originally known as Xinxiang Temple, is often regarded as the best-preserved Buddhist temple in the city. The monastery was renamed after a 17th-century monk who once resided there. One of its most striking features is the 11-story iron pagoda, which stands as the largest of its kind in China.
