Taipei Botanical Garden

Established in 1896 during the Japanese colonial period, Taipei Botanical Garden spans 20 acres and is home to over 2,000 species of plants. The garden is divided into 17 distinct districts, each offering a unique collection of flora. Winding paths guide visitors past nine serene ponds, providing a tranquil setting for exploration. Two historic buildings, the Herbarium and the Museum of Imperial Envoy Lodging, stand as registered historic sites within the garden, adding cultural and historical depth to the botanical experience. Today, visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll through the diverse plant life and learn about the garden’s rich history.
