Lucerne Old Town

Nestled on the left bank of the River Reuss, Lucerne Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site encircled by medieval walls and watchtowers. The town is connected to the right bank by two covered wooden bridges, the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) and the Spreuer Bridge (Spreuerbrücke). Narrow streets wind through the area, flanked by half-timbered houses and 15th-century buildings.
