Gangaramaya Temple

Established in 1885, Gangaramaya Temple is one of Colombo’s largest and oldest Buddhist temple complexes, located near the serene Beira Lake. The temple features a blend of architectural styles, with pagodas, courtyards, and shrines that create a tranquil and spiritually rich environment. One of its most striking elements is the Seema Malaka, a lake temple standing on stone pillars above the water, accessible via a walkway.
