Casa Vicens

Casa Vicens, Antoni Gaudí’s first architectural design, was built in the 1880s for Manel Vicens i Montaner in Barcelona. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, opened to the public in 2017, marks the beginning of Gaudí’s distinctive modernist style, which flourished during Europe’s Art Nouveau period. The house showcases vibrant, intricate details and innovative use of materials, setting the stage for Gaudí’s later works. Visitors can explore the richly decorated interiors and admire the colorful tiles and ornate facades that define this early masterpiece.
