Sinheungsa Temple, the oldest Zen temple in South Korea, was founded by the Shilla monk Jajang Yulsa in AD 652. Nestled within the scenic Seoraksan National Park, the temple has a history marked by destruction and rebirth, with the current structure dating back to 1648.
