Sir Lowry’s Pass

Sir Lowry’s Pass, a mountain pass in South Africa’s Western Cape, winds through the Hottentots Hollands Mountains on the N2 highway, connecting Cape Town to the Garden Route. The pass offers expansive views back towards Cape Town, where the cityscape unfolds, and up towards the skies where paragliders can be seen in season. To the other side, lush, rolling landscapes of rural Elgin stretch out, providing a contrast of natural beauty and urban life. Visitors driving through this scenic route can enjoy the changing vistas and the dramatic topography of the region.
