Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy or Pegu, is an ancient capital of the Mon Kingdom located in southern Myanmar. This historic city is renowned for its rich collection of Buddhist temples, pagodas, and statues. Among its most notable features is one of the largest and oldest reclining Buddhas in the world, as well as the four back-to-back Buddhas that stand guard over the city.
