Perched 523 feet above sea level, the Mazatlan Lighthouse, or El Faro, has been a guiding beacon since 1879. Located in the port city of Mazatlán, Mexico, it is believed to be the highest lighthouse in the Americas. Visitors can now explore a glass lookout platform, offering panoramic views of the city and the Pacific Ocean. As the sun sets, the lighthouse provides a prime vantage point for witnessing some of the city’s most breathtaking twilight scenes.
